In May 2007 Lesotho prepared the
National Adaption Programme of Action (NAPA) on climate change and
submitted it to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate
Change (UNFCCC). The NAPA identified eleven priority options
required to address the challenges of climate change in Lesotho.
In October 2008, UNDP Lesotho was pleased to announce that the
Government of Lesotho invited the support of UNDP in the development
and implementation of the following priority areas:
Option 1: Improve resilience of Livestock Production Systems
Under Extreme Climatic Conditions in Various Livelihood Zones in
Lesotho
Option 2: Promoting Sustainable Crop Based Livelihood Systems
