Brief Description
The
overall development objectives of the project are to build a network
for MSM, gays and lesbians in Lesotho as the entry point for the
delivery of targeted HIV-related services; and to
undertake a
size estimation and rapid assessment and response of men who have
sex with men (MSM) in Lesotho with the aim to catalyze evidence
informed HIV prevention programmes for MSM in Lesotho..
Activity 1: To support the establishment of a community network
in Lesotho. The project intends to provide capacity development
support for the emerging network. It also aims to support the
development of interventions to build individual and community
self-esteem, improve public awareness and understanding, and develop
targeted interventions on HIV and AIDS tailored specifically to the
needs of this group.
Activity 2: Carry out a rapid assessment of men who have sex
with men (MSM) including people who identify as lesbian, gay,
bisexual or transgender in Lesotho, with the aim to catalyze
evidence informed HIV prevention programmes for the groups.
